Studio artist, muralist, and painting instructor born to Jamaican parents in small-town Texas. Ryan's work is rooted in seeking to understand — using loose, expressive color to sidestep the mind's need to categorize by race, ethnicity, and stereotype. His art invites viewers to examine their own biases and learn to empathize more deeply. See his work at ryanruncie.com.
